Dr Tarek was born and educated in the United Kingdom. He graduated in 2012 and spent 4 years working in UK hospitals where he performed at a senior level in major trauma, orthopaedics, and spinal surgery.
In 2016, he was invited to work at Gold Coast University Hospital in adult and paediatric Emergency Medicine. Over his two and a half years at the department he took on high levels of responsibility, including managing the department at night.
Throughout his career, Dr Tarek has undertaken medical and surgical research and has over 40 international publications and presentations.
Dr Tarek is currently a GP Registrar doing his placement through The Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program to gain specialist recognition as a General Practitioner. After completing this pathway, he will gain Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr Tarek practices with a holistic and comprehensive approach to all of his patients. He provides consultations for patients of all ages and conditions. His special interests include the management of musculoskeletal injuries, spinal conditions, skin lacerations, paediatrics and chronic disease.
Dr Tarek is happy to see Arabic speaking patients.
