Jean Railton is an International Medical graduate from South Africa. She joined the practice in 2018 after moving to Australia with her family.

She graduated as a doctor from the University of Cape Town in 1998 before completing her internship and community service year in a rural area in South Africa. She went on to complete her Fellowship of the College of Family Practitioners with the College of Medicine of South Africa in 2007 and her Masters in Family medicine at Stellenbosch University in 2010.

She gained her Fellowship of the Royal Australia College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in September 2020.

She has worked in a range of settings both urban and rural in South Africa in both clinical settings and in the HIV NGO (Public Health) setting and spent a year in the UK doing locum work. She moved to Australia from South Africa with her family in 2018 and is hoping to make Australia her permanent home. She loves the diversity of people and medical presentations within the GP setting and is passionate about providing holistic care to people of all ages and conditions.

Due to current patient load, Dr Railton is unable to take on new patients.
